A mixed bag at Gelleråsen

When the Porsche Carrera Cup Scandinavia restarted its season after the summer break at the Gelleråsen Arena outside Karlskoga, it was also an opportunity for WestCoast Racing and Robin Knutsson to show that they had done their homework and were approaching the top of the championship.

In the first qualifying, which determined the starting order for race 1, Robin was 6th. In the second qualifying, however, he made a mistake and had to settle for 9th place.

Both races were characterized by Robin not getting the best of starts. In the first race, he lost two positions already during the first lap. He later managed to advance to 7th place, but Robin did not manage to get higher than that in the first race.

In the second race, Robin also lost at the start and remained in 9th place, but with several slower drivers ahead of him. In this race, he did not manage to get around. It took almost half the race before he broke loose and could start advancing. During the latter part of the race, Robin made changes to his driving style and finished in 6th place!

– Towards the end of the last race, the speed was among the best we have had all season. Overall, the weekend was neither good nor bad in terms of results. I want to move up the list, but what I take with me is that I developed a lot during the weekend. I hope it is speed we can maintain and improve even more, says Robin after the weekend at Gelleråsen.

In the championship, he is now 6th with 85 points, 16 points up from 5th place. There are two race weekends left in the Porsche Carrera Cup Scandinavia.
