A sure sign of spring every year is the Porsche Carrera Cup Scandinavia Roll Out at Mantorp Park. Over two days, the teams in the series were able to prepare for the season that starts on May 12-13 at Scandinavian Raceway in Anderstorp.
WestCoast Racing with Robin Knutsson started the season back in January with the Porsche Sprint Challenge Southern Europe. The test at Mantorp was now the team’s Swedish premiere, where a second Porsche GT3 Cup (992) was also present: “We have a vacant car and are still working on filling the spot next to Robin in Carrera Cup Scandinavia,” says team manager Dick Jönsson Wigroth.
Robin had a strong first day of testing but was unable to conduct any tests on new tires on the second day. Therefore, the team does not know exactly where they stand in terms of time. “I have a good feeling after Mantorp. I am starting to get more comfortable with the car and it is not far up in terms of time to the absolute fastest. Now we are starting to refine both driving and set-up to find the last 2-3 tenths. We were confirmed that we have developed during the winter so we just have to continue on the same track”, says Robin after the tests.
